The person behind the practice.
I believe that therapy is most effective when it is a collaborative, human-to-human experience. My approach is rooted in the belief that you already possess the innate wisdom needed to heal; my role is to help you clear the path to it.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) dedicated to providing holistic, trauma-informed care. Because I believe in the power of “embodied” healing, I am committed to continuous learning and advanced clinical training.
My Clinical Lens:
IFS-Informed: I am actively engaged in the study and application of Internal Family Systems. I use this framework to help individuals navigate their internal “parts” with curiosity rather than judgment.
EFT-Informed: In my work with couples, I focus on Emotionally Focused Therapy to help partners de-escalate conflict and rebuild a secure emotional bond.
Somatic Awareness: I integrate body-based techniques to help you move beyond “talking about” your feelings and into a space where you can actually shift how you feel.
*We will work with you to find the best approach (whether through IFS, EFT, or another approach) to help you come back to yourself and/or to reconnect with your partner.
Outside the Office:
I got my masters degree here at WVU and never left. Morgantown has become my home where I enjoy West Virginia and abroad through hiking, enjoying live music and traveling.
“Perhaps we just need little reminders from time to time that we are already dignified, deserving, worthy. Sometimes we don’t feel that way because of the wounds and the scars we carry from the past or because of the uncertainty of the future. It is doubtful that we came to feel undeserving on our own…we were taught it in a thousand ways when we were little, and we learned our lessons well.”
